Virtual tour

The view of our building as you approach from Huddersfield Town Centre:

As you enter our church you will pass through the narthex into the main hall. When the hall is in use for our community events all of the furniture can be cleared to create an open multi purpose space available for many different functions. The image below shows the hall set up for a Sunday service:

Walking down the hall you will come to the font on your left. Our font is beautifully carved, and is a strong focal point to our worship at baptisms and for other celebrations such as harvest:

Now we come to our chancel, which as you can see from the above picture can also be used as a multi functional space to hold more intimate acts of worship. To the left as you face the altar is our vestry, and to the right our organ:

Our main East Window serves a functional purpose in our worship, and can be dressed to be a focal point for celebrations and main points in the church calendar, such as Easter:

Looking back towards the west entrance from the chancel, you will see the full space our hall has to offer. We have a medium sized kitchen area in the south west corner, and have kept our 'Make Poverty History' display as a sign of our ongoing commitment to supporting Christian Aid:

Moving to the south of the church is our side chapel, or lady chapel. This is used for our laying on of hands with prayers for healing, which takes place on the first Sunday of every month. We also sometimes have smaller, more intimite services in this space:

On our south wall is our War Memorial, which we use in our Remembrance Day services to remember those service men and women who have lost their lives in wars both historic and current, and those risking their lives today:

As you leave our building, look back towards our building from the road and you will see our St Cuthbert's Cross above the main entrance:
